The Lantern Apprentice — 6-page anime graphic novel

A young apprentice lantern-maker named Kai (16, dark hair, blue kimono with white crane embroidery) in feudal-era Japan inherits his master's spirit-warding lantern shop after the master's death. A mysterious kitsune fox spirit named Suzume (white fur, nine tails, amber eyes) appears at his door asking for a special lantern that can guide lost souls home.
